Role Description: We are seeking a software development engineer to join our team. This person will be responsible for architecting, designing, developing, testing and rolling out web applications and respective mobile applications being used by the Alumni and External Relations Office. The applications are targeted for providing a unified experience to the Alumni and support various initiatives to strengthen the Alumni Relationship.
Job Profile:-
- Drive architectural design and development of applications, services and user interfaces, while maintaining and scaling existing applications.
- Design and develop applications using best coding practices and secure design.
- Develop interfaces to integrate with other systems within the institute ecosystem.
- Perform high quality functional testing of the applications.
- Scale systems sustainably through automation and advocate for changes that improve reliability and velocity.
- Collaborate with Computer Center to ensure compliance with the institute policies and guidelines.
- Resolve issues reported internally and externally and perform root cause analysis for continuous improvement.
Skills/Requirements:-
- 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in developing enterprise class applications.
- Experience of database design and implementation: Relational and NoSQL.
- Experience of web-based software application development using Java or Python or PHP.
- Experience of frameworks like Angular or React or Flask.
- Excellent debugging skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Stay updated with new technologies with self-study.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Location: The selected candidate will be working from IIM Ahmedabad campus. If selected, the candidate is expected to manage their own accommodation, outside the IIMA campus which is centrally located within the city of Ahmedabad.
Educational Qualifications: B.E/B Tech in Computer Science or equivalent.
