The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has published its official hiring announcement for the part-time, contractual role of Bank Medical Consultant in 2025. There are five open positions. Applications from qualified MBBS physicians must be submitted offline by December 11, 2025.

Consolidated Payout

  • Fixed remuneration: Rs. 1,000 per hour; payable monthly
  • Rs. 1,000/month for conveyance; Rs. 1,000/month for mobile reimbursement

Qualification & Experience

  • MBBS (Allopathic system) from a recognized university. Postgraduate degree in General Medicine is preferred.
  • PG degree in General Medicine preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of practice in a hospital/clinic.

  1. Fill prescribed application format (Annex-III, notification).
  2. Submit by post to Regional Director, Human Resource Management Department (Recruitment Section), RBI, Fort Glacis, 16 Rajaji Salai, Chennai – 600 001.
  3. Enclose self-attested photocopies of required documents.
  4. Application envelope must be superscribed: “Application for the post of Bank’s Medical Consultant Part-Time on Contractual Basis with fixed hourly remuneration”.
  5. Last date for receipt: 11/12/2025.

General Conditions

  • Contract period: 3 years, not renewable
  • No claim for regular appointment/perks
  • May be posted at any RBI Chennai dispensary/quarters at discretion of the bank
  • Full compliance with Code of Conduct (Annex-II in notification)
  • Canvassing, false submissions, incomplete application results in disqualification.
