Qualification & Experience

  1. Administrative Officer (Generalist)
    1. Graduate / Post Graduate in any stream from a recognized University with at least 60% marks in either of the degree examination (at least 55% for SC/ST) candidates.
  2. Hindi (Rajbhasha) Officers
    1. Master’s Degree from a recognized University in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level with 60% marks (for SC/ST 55% marks).
    2. OR Master’s Degree from a recognized University in English with Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level with 60% marks (for SC/ST 55% marks).
    3. OR Master’s Degree from a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi medium and English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level with 60% marks (for SC/ST 55% marks).

How To Apply

  1. Candidates have to go to the Company’s website www.orientalinsurance.org.in in ‘Recruitment’ Section and click on the option ‘APPLY ONLINE’ which will open a new screen.
  2. To register application, choose the tab ‘CLICK HERE FOR REGISTRATION’ and enter Name, Contact details and email id, mobile no. etc. A Provisional Registration Number and Password will be generated by the system and displayed on the screen. Candidate should note down the Provisional Registration Number and Password. An email & SMS indicating the Provisional Registration number and Password will also be sent.
  3. In case the candidate is unable to complete the application form in one go, he / she can save the data already entered by choosing ‘SAVE AND NEXT’ tab. Prior to submission of the online application, candidates are advised to use the ‘SAVE AND NEXT’ facility to verify the details in the online application form and modify the same if required. Visually Impaired candidates should fill the application form carefully and verify / get the details verified to ensure that the same are correct, prior to final submission.
  4. Candidates are advised to carefully fill and verify the details filled in the online application form themselves as no change will be possible/ entertained after clicking the ‘FINAL SUBMIT’ BUTTON.
  5. The Name of the candidate and his / her Father / Husband etc. should be spelt correctly in the application as it appears in the Certificates / Mark sheets. Any change / alteration found may disqualify the candidature.
  6. Validate your details and Save your application by clicking the ‘VALIDATE YOUR DETAILS’ and ‘SAVE & NEXT’ button.
  7. Candidates can proceed to fill other details of the Application Form.
  8. Click on the Preview Tab to preview and verify the entire application form before ‘FINAL SUBMIT’.
  9. Modify details, if required, and click on ‘FINAL SUBMIT’ only after verifying and ensuring that the photograph, signature uploaded and other details filled by you are correct.
  10. Click on ‘PAYMENT’ Tab and proceed for payment.
  11. Click on ‘SUBMIT’ button.

  1. Candidates are requested to ensure that they fulfill the eligibility criteria, on the date of eligibility.
  2. Admission to On-line Test will be purely provisional without verification of documents.
  3. Application form (containing fee payment details) & E-receipt should be printed by the candidate and kept for reference with him/her.
  4. Candidate should apply for any ONE discipline only. In case of multiple Applications (within the same discipline or across the disciplines) only the latest valid (completed) application will be retained and the application fee / Intimation charges paid for the other motile registration(s) will stand forfeited.
  5. Candidates are advised to visit OICL’s website at regular intervals for information regarding date of Online examination.
  6. Candidates will have to download the Call letter for Online Test and Information Handout (IH) from the OICL’s Website.
  7. OICL reserves the right to cancel any of the Examination Centres and/ or add some other Centres, at its discretion, depending upon the response, administrative feasibility, etc. OICL also reserves the right to allot the candidate to any centre other than the one he/she has opted for.

1. What should I do if there is lot of delay in accessing the page?

Speed for Registration of On-Line Application on Internet, is based on various factors like Internet Speed, large number of applicants trying to register the application at the same time etc. Therefore if you are not able to get the pages for registration immediately, please retry after a gap of 15 minutes or during off-peak hours in the night.

Successful Registration is indicated by the Page displayed after clicking the Submit Button indicating the generated “REGISTRATION NO.” and “PASSWORD”. Please note down the same carefully and preserve it. If you do not preserve it, you will not be able to Re-Print the Application and download the Call Letter, results etc.

“REGISTRATION NO.” and “PASSWORD” are also sent by auto-response Confirmation emails. Delivery of these emails purely depends upon the correctness of E-Mail ID provided, Policy of your E-Mail Service Provider to accept and Divert such emails under Bulk or Spam Mails or bounce back such mails without accepting it due to heavy number of emails generated by our Applications. In case of Govt./official /company Email Ids, delivery is controlled by your Company Policies. You may be guided accordingly.

In case of doubt about the successful Registration, candidates are advised to visit the Page for Re-Print of Application / e-Receipt, generate the Printout and preserve the soft copy and hard copy (printout) of the Application.

In rare cases Candidates may get Zero (0) Registration No. with valid Password. Candidates are advised to Re-Register the Application and check the Printout through Re-Print Application
