DRDO TBRL Paid Internship 2026 notification has been released by the Terminal Ballistics Research Laboratory (TBRL), Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), Ministry of Defence. Eligible Engineering and Science students can apply for the paid internship program for a duration of 6 months.
The internship is available for students pursuing B.E./B.Tech./B.Sc Engineering and M.Sc Science courses. Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 5,000. The last date for receipt of applications is 25 May 2026.

DRDO TBRL Paid Internship 2026 Stipend
Selected candidates will receive a stipend of Rs. 5,000 per month. The total stipend amount for the 6-month internship will be Rs. 30,000.
- Rs. 15,000 after completion of 3 months
- Rs. 15,000 after completion of 6 months
The stipend will be paid directly into the student’s bank account, subject to minimum attendance of 15 days in a month.
DRDO TBRL Internship 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Candidates must be pursuing a full-time course from a recognized Indian College, Institute, or University.
- Engineering students must be pursuing B.E./B.Tech./B.Sc Engineering and should be in sixth semester onwards.
- Science students must be studying in the second year of M.Sc.
- The internship must be part of the student’s degree course.
Minimum Marks
Candidates must have a good academic record with at least 75% marks. In case of CGPA, the percentage conversion should be done by the College or University.
Age Limit
The age of the student should be less than 28 years as on 30 June 2026.
Backlog Criteria
Students having backlogs are not eligible to apply.
DRDO TBRL Internship 2026 Selection Process
The selection of candidates will be based on merit and suitability for the project or assignment. Shortlisting will be done based on cumulative marks percentage or CGPA obtained up to the last semester or year.
The selection process may include:
- Academic merit
- Shortlisting of applications
- Online / telephonic interview or interaction, if required
- Document verification
If two candidates obtain the same percentage of marks, the candidate older in age will be given preference.

- Request letter for internship from Principal / HOD / TPO
- UG / PG mark sheets reflecting CGPA or percentage
- Copy of latest Aadhaar Card
- Copy of College Identity Card
- Application form in prescribed format
Selected students will also have to submit documents such as NOC, bonafide and character certificate, police verification, bank details, passport-size photographs, and other required undertakings at the time of joining.
